What to Expect When You Book Your Car In With Wrapsters (Dubai, UAE)
Introduction: It’s More Than Just a Wrap — It’s a Process
At Wrapsters, we get it. Dropping off your car — especially a luxury or performance vehicle — can feel like handing over a part of your identity. Whether you’re coming in for a full body wrap, PPF, ceramic coating, or just headlight tinting, you want to know:
- Where does your car go?
- How do we clean and prep it?
- Who’s working on it?
- What happens behind the scenes?
This blog gives you a full, transparent look into what happens from the moment you contact us — until the moment we hand your keys back.
Step 1: Booking & Consultation
It starts with a chat. You can call us, WhatsApp us, or walk into our Al Quoz studio. Once you’ve reached out, here’s what happens:
- We ask for details: car make/model, service type, finish preferences, timeline
- We may request photos or invite you in for a physical inspection
- If needed, we’ll show you real samples of films (not just catalog images)
- You get a full quotation with timeline and warranty terms
No pressure, no sales talk — just a clear breakdown of your options.
Step 2: Drop-Off & Pre-Inspection
Once you’ve booked your slot and dropped the car off, we’ll begin with a full exterior inspection, noting:
- Scratches, dents, chips, previous paintwork
- Any panel irregularities or loose trims
- Wrap-unfriendly areas (if applicable)
We also shoot before photos of the entire car — to give you full peace of mind.
You’ll then sign off on a Service Intake Form detailing the agreed service, brand of materials used (e.g., Inozetek, Avery, SunTek PPF), and expected delivery date.
Step 3: Deep Cleaning & Surface Prep
No film or coating sticks to a dirty or greasy car — so we start with:
- Foam wash + clay bar treatment
- Tar and glue removal (especially on used cars)
- Degreasing edges, emblems, and trims
- Panel-by-panel alcohol wipe-down
- Wheel & caliper clean (if coating full body)
For wraps or PPF: we remove badges, trims, lights, door handles, and sometimes bumpers — depending on the level of coverage.
Step 4: Installation Process
This is where our specialists take over — all trained in film application, stretching, cutting, and post-heating techniques. Our process varies slightly depending on what you’ve booked:
For Vinyl Wraps:
- Dry application using knifeless tape to avoid blade damage
- Seamless stretching around curves, door shuts, mirrors
- Post-heating to lock in shape and adhesion
- Careful edge tucking and trim replacement
For PPF:
- Wet install with slip solution and squeegee
- Pre-cut patterns or custom bulk installs
- Tension balanced to prevent lift or stretch marks
- Curing time under controlled temperature
For Ceramic Coating:
- Applied by hand using microfiber applicators
- Cured for up to 12 hours indoors
- Final buff and inspection before handover
Step 5: Final Inspection & Quality Control
Once the service is completed, our QC team conducts:
- Panel-by-panel inspection for dust, bubbles, or missed edges
- Adhesion check on all corners, door shuts, and mirrors
- Gloss & uniformity check (for coatings and gloss wraps)
- Matte consistency check (for satin/matte wraps)
We also reinstall all trims, badges, and accessories, and do a light interior vacuum and exterior wipe-down.
Step 6: Client Handover
When you return to pick up your car, we’ll walk you around the vehicle:
- Show you where film has been applied (and where it hasn’t, if partial)
- Explain do’s and don’ts for maintenance
- Provide a care guide (digital + printed)
- Offer optional ceramic maintenance kits or wash packages
You’ll also receive:
- Warranty card (typically 2–5 years depending on film)
- Before/after photos (by request)
- Digital invoice and care reminders via WhatsApp
What You Won’t See — But It Matters
Behind the scenes, we’re constantly:
- Checking temperature and humidity in the install bay
- Replacing blades, squeegees, and cleaning towels per vehicle
- Using non-silicone gloves to prevent surface contamination
- Storing your car in a secured, CCTV-monitored space
- Updating you via WhatsApp with progress photos (on request)
Bonus: Can I Wait or Watch?
You’re welcome to visit anytime during the process — we have a waiting area, and our team is happy to walk you through what’s happening.
But for full wraps, PPF, or coatings, we recommend leaving the car with us for at least 2–3 days. It’s not just about install — it’s about prep, curing, and making sure the result lasts.
